  • employing firewalls, intrusion detection systems and virus scanning tools to protect against unauthorised persons and viruses from entering our systems; and

3. Cookies

We at HNB strive to maintain the most up to date information regarding your personal and financial details in accordance with best practices. However, if you feel that the information regarding your account is outdated or requires amendments, please click on User Update Request Form and submit the duly completed form to any HNB branch for submission to our E-banking unit at Head Office.
 
5. Limiting Employee Access to Information
Our employees' access to customer information is authorized for business purposes only and is on a “need to know” basis. We educate our employees on the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures and all employees are required to attend special training programs that focus on this. Any violation of this principle will lead to suitable disciplinary action.
 
6. Links to other web sites
Our web sites may contain links to non-HNB Group web sites. Whilst such links are provided for your convenience, you should be aware that the information handling practices of the linked web sites might not be the same as ours. HNB is not a provider of the services mentioned therein and will not be responsible for any disputes arising between you and the relevant service provider.
 
7. Bill Payment Facility for Utility and other Service Providers
 
HNB provides Bill Payment facilities through the Virtual Branch by debiting the account holder's current or savings account. Transactions performed through Virtual Branch will be credited to the respective payee (service provider) the following working day or at the sole discretion of the service provider on a "real time" basis where applicable.

HNB is not a supplier of the individual services for which, payments are made and will not be liable in relation thereto.

HNB reserves the right to add or remove any payee (service provider) featured under Virtual Branch at any time and levy charges at any time, without notice and without assigning any reason thereof.

The bank shall not assume any responsibility what so ever, for non transmission of payments due to technical failures.
 
8. Google Fit data
 
Activity information

Access to activity data is required to transfer the data to HNB Fit. Fitness data, such as step counts or total distance bicycled for the day, is queried from Google Fit depending on the plan the user initiates from the HNB Fit app to be used in calculation of the eligible amount for HNBFit transfer.
 
Amendments to the Policy
 
We may amend this policy from time to time and will place all such amendments on this website. This policy is not intended to, nor does it, create any contractual rights between the bank and the customer.
