View Intraday Balances

Introduction

While customers of a bank can view the latest balance of their accounts maintained with the bank through e-Banking application, they would be interested in knowing the intraday balance of the other bank account registered with the home bank. In this option, user of e-Banking application can view MT 941 balance report details for the request placed for getting the latest information for the account. The Swift MT 941 balance report details will be parsed and uploaded by admin batches.

What you can do

The table below provides a brief description of the data that should be entered on the screen and the functions you can perform:

  • You can download the statement for any day within the last N days (including the current day).

  • Only those fields applicable for SWIFT MT941 will be present in the downloaded file

Search criteria

Statement Date and Time

Select the date and time of the statement which needs to be displayed.

Note:

  • The values in this drop-down list will depend on the date and time of MT941 file received from the other bank.

  • The details will be available for the current date and last ‘N’ days where N is a parameter.

Statement Details

This section will have two parts viz. Account Details and Transactions List.

Account Details

Account details will display the values present in various fields (tags) of the SWIFT MT942 intra-day transaction report along with the corresponding tag numbers.

Transaction Reference Number (Tag 20)

Displays the reference assigned by the sender to unambiguously identify the message.

Related Reference (Tag 21)

Displays the related reference in case the MT 941 is sent in response to MT 920.

A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Account Number (Tag 25)

Displays the account number for which the balance information is sent.

Statement Number (Tag 28)

Displays the statement number of the message.

Statement Date & Time (Tag 13D)

Displays the date, time and the time zone at which the report was created.

Opening Balance Date (Tag 60F)

Displays the date when the statement or Opening balance report was taken. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Opening Balance Amount (Tag 60F)

Displays the opening balance, whether it is a debit or credit balance, the currency and the amount of the balance. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Total Number of Debit Entries (Tag 90D)

Displays the total number of debit entries since the last statement or balance report. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Total Debit Amount (Tag 90D)

Displays the total amount of debit entries since the last statement or balance report.

 A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Total Number of Credit Entries (Tag 90C)

Displays the total number of credit entries since the last statement or balance report. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Total Credit Amount (Tag 90C)

Displays the total amount of credit entries since the last statement or balance report. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Closing Book Balance Date (Tag 62F)

Displays the book balance for the account.

Note:

  • If field 13D is present, then this is the book balance as at the end of the business period indicated in field 13D Date/Time Indication.

  • If field 13D is absent, then this field contains the closing book balance for the account as at the end of the business day.

Closing Book Balance (Tag 62F)

Displays the book balance for the account.

Note:

  • If field 13D is present, then this is the book balance as at the end of the business period indicated in field 13D Date/Time Indication.

  • If field 13D is absent, then this field contains the closing book balance for the account as at the end of the business day.

Closing Available Date (Tag 64)

Displays the date when Closing available balance was calculated. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Closing Available Balance (Tag 64)

Displays the funds which are available to the account owner (if credit balance) or the balance which is subject to interest charges (if debit balance). A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Information to Account Owner (Tag 86)

Displays additional information for the account owner. A blank will be displayed if there is no value.

Forward Available Balance List (Tag 65)

Displays the funds which are available to the account owner (if a credit or debit balance) for the specified forward value date.

Note:

Listing table will be shown only if a list of forward available balances is present.

As On Date

Displays the value date.

Forward Available Balance

Displays the forward balance.
