Introduction

This screen helps you to view the account and security details of the retail user.

What you can do

The table below provides a brief description of the data that must be specified on the screen and the functions you can perform:

Field

Description

Account Number

The number assigned to the account.

Host Customer Name of Account

The name of account holder.

Account Nickname

The short name assigned to the account. This can be modified using ‘Account Maintenance’ under the ‘Personal Preferences’ option of the user menu list.

Currency

The currency in which the account is held.

Account Open Date

The date on which the account was opened.

Account Type

The type of account.

Account Category

The scheme code or category under which the account has been opened.

Account Status

The status of the account.

Primary Account Y/N

Indicates if the account is a primary account. A primary account is an account which a customer normally operates.

For Example:

If the customer holds five different accounts, then the customer can designate one account as the primary account. When the customer logs on to the online banking system, the balances in your primary account are displayed by default. The customer can carry out transactions in this account. If the customer wants to carry out transactions or view balances in any other account, specify the account number.

Mode of Operation

The mode of operation.

Joint Holder1-3

The name of the joint account holder.

Account Sol-Id

The SOL ID of the account.

Account Balance

The actual clear balance amount in the account.

Ledger Balance

The actual ledger balance.

Available Balance

The total amount available to the customer. It includes TOD allowed, instruments to be processed, etc. It is the amount, on which the bank has placed no restrictions / lien and is available for immediate withdrawal.

Float Balance

The sum of all the instruments that have been entered as well as released to shadow balance for the account.

User Defined Balance

The balance defined by the user.

Effective Balance

The actual amount in the account.  

Lien Amount

 

The amount of lien placed on the account.

Note:

A lien is placed on an account to exercise caution on the funds in the account. Once a lien is placed on an account, the balance in the account is decreased by the lien amount. This amount cannot be withdrawn from the account unless the lien is lifted.

Unclear Balance

The amount that has been released to shadow balance for the account through outward clearing.
