Model Loan

Introduction

This screen allows you to model the loan for the scheme selected.

Navigation

The following is the navigation for this option:

  • Click Model in the Scheme Based Modeling screen.

  • The Step 3 of 3: Preview and Compute screen is displayed.

The table below provides a brief description of the data displayed on the screen and the functions you can perform:

Scheme Details

The name of the product and its details such as, loan amount, repayment period and interest details are displayed.

Interest Details

Note:

These are display fields.

Maximum Period

The maximum period for which the loan can be availed.

Interest Rate

The interest rate at which the loan is available

Note:

This rate is considered, only when preferred interest rate is not specified by the user.

Penal Interest Rate

The rate at which interest is calculated in case the loan is repaid before the loan period.

Note:

Specify values in the following fields to compute loan period.

Start Date

Specify the date of start of the loan. The date can be selected from the calendar widget.

Deposit Amount

Specify the loan amount required. The amount specified should be in the range, specified in the scheme selected and also should be in multiples of amount specified in the scheme.

The currency of the loan will be displayed.

Preferred Interest Rate

The preferred interest rate can be specified by the user. It should be in the range of 0 to 100.

Repayment Period

The period by which the loan is to be repaid. This is indicated in terms of months and days and should be within the maximum period specified for that Scheme.

Maturity Amount

The total amount payable for the loan period. This should be entered in such a way that the calculated loan amount against it should be in the range specified by the scheme. The currency of the loan will be displayed.

Applied Interest Rate

The actual interest rate that is applied for modeling.

Note:

This is a display field and will be as per the scheme parameter.

Maturity Date

The tenure of the loan.

Note:

This is a display field and is based on the start date and the repayment period as specified by the user.

View details of loan schedule in a graph. The graph displays the components of the loan schedule. The X axis of the graph indicates the tenure of the loan. The Y axis represents the following components of the loan:

  • The loan amount

  • The interest component

  • The maturity amount

Each component of the loan schedule is shown in a different color.
