Open an Account

Introduction

This screen allows the retail user to give the details of the new account to be opened. This account is used to link the goal. After filling up the details appropriately, the request is sent to relationship manager who in turn will process the account opening request.

Once the account is opened, an alert can be sent to the user intimating him/her that account is opened. The retail user can login into e-Banking application and fund the goal to the newly opened account.

Note:

  • This will use the service request infrastructure of e-Banking application, where offline requests are sent to relationship manager for further processing.

  • Relationship manager will see the account opening request from the user and while closing the request (that is, post account creation in backend), relationship manager updates the request with the newly opened account number manually and close the request.

Processing Date

Specify the date of processing the account opening request.

Minimum Opening Amount

Specify the amount for opening the account along with the currency.

Debit Account

Select the debit account which is the source account to fund the new account.

Personal and Contact Details

Name

Specify the name of the retail user.

Taxpayer ID Number

Specify the taxpayer ID number.

Phone No 1

Specify the phone number 1.

Phone No 2

Specify the phone number 2.

Fax No 1

Specify the fax number 1.

Fax No 2

Specify the fax number 2.

Email Address 1

Specify the e-mail address 1.

Email Address 2

Specify the e-mail address 2.

Address

Specify the address details.

City

Specify the city name.

Postal Code

Specify the postal code.

State

Specify the state code. Click the Look Up button can be used to fetch the list of state codes.

Country

From the drop-down list, select the country.

Remarks

Transaction Remarks

Specify remarks, if any.

Debit Service Charge Account

From the drop-down list, select the debit service charge.

Submit to Relationship Manager

Submit the account opening request to the relationship manager.

Note:

Since this is an offline request, that is, account isn’t opened instantaneously, user is displayed with the message that ‘Account opening request is submitted successfully and will get an alert once account is opened. Kindly proceed to fund the goal post that’.
