We have identified that a bogus email is circulating requesting Internet Banking customers to activate the passwords by submitting the login details to a link on the email to avoid permanent deactivation. Kindly note that HNB does not conduct password activations via web sites hence please be advised that this is a "Phishing Attack" to fraudulently obtain your Virtual Branch login details. HNB will never request you to provide information by clicking on a hyperlink sent by email. Whilst we are investigating this incident, we wish to reassure you that all efforts taken are to safeguard your online transactions. We regret any inconvenience caused.

Dear Valued Customer,

To safeguard your internet banking access and Financial Information, Faxed/ E Mailed & Scanned applications are not accepted for processing. HNB will only process your application after the original document is received. Please forward documents directly to branch at your earliest to avoid unnecessary delays with regard to internet banking needs.

Applications which do not fulfill the requirements of the bank are rejected and forwarded back to your branch for corrections
