We have identified that a bogus email is circulating requesting Internet Banking customers to activate the passwords by submitting the login details to a link on the email to avoid permanent deactivation. Kindly note that HNB does not conduct password activations via web sites hence please be advised that this is a "Phishing Attack" to fraudulently obtain your Virtual Branch login details.
HNB will never request you to provide information by clicking on a hyperlink sent by email. Whilst we are investigating this incident, we wish to reassure you that all efforts taken are to safeguard your online transactions. We regret any inconvenience caused.
